Katherina Martín Abello is the CEO of Jamzone, an award-winning digital health technology lab. Jamzone transforms digital technologies (VR, AR, mobile) combined with evidence based psychology in engaging user experiences, to provide tailored emotional, behavioral and mental health programs to everyone.
Katherina has sixteen (16) years of experience in digital health and eBusiness. Former Chief Digital Product & Innovation Officer of the Trimbos Institute in The Netherlands, the National Institute of Mental Health and Addiction. Responsible for the digital strategy, national and international business development, research and implementation of digital health products and innovations. Her work has being focused on prevention and treatment of common mental health disorders.
As product manager and e-Health expert, Katherina has lead many digital health projects in the Netherlands and abroad. She was the Project Leader at Trimbos of the first international e-Health project of the World Health Organization for the development and implementation of an alcohol portal and online alcohol self-help intervention for/and in collaboration with institutes in Belarus, Brazil, India and Mexico.
Mrs. Martin Abello is co-author of relevant national and international e-Health publications, such as: ‘Joint Action on Mental Health and Wellbeing. Depression, Suicide Prevention and E-Health. Situation Analysis and Recommendations for Action’ – for the European Union.
Katherina is frequent speaker on digital health innovation, guest lecturer at different universities, member of the Board of Trustees at The Patients Federation of The Netherlands (Patiëntenfederatie Nederland), and member of the Global Consortium for the Prevention of Depression.
She has been consultant and entrepreneur since 2000, and has worked in different digital companies such as the Latin American eBay: Deremate.com (present in 18 countries in Latin America) as part of the marketing start-up team.
